Calvin

No news today about Calvin. I hope this means that he is better. It must be terrifying for a small child to be in a place that is not home. I hope that the people treating him are also parents. How Johanna can deal with a crisis of this magnitude I don't know. I would just go to pieces. My heart goes out to her.

He's ok- I saw that you called, I'm sorry that I didn't get right back but my answering machine is such that when it has 956 messages it gets to be too much to slog through. My friend Kathleen(Lucille from the FBI stories on my blog) has been playing hide and seek with him for about 2 hours now. He had SOMETHING which has still not been identified, but made the lymph nodes in his bowel swell up,and the hospital kept him until yesterday afternoon, to observe him. They were afraid his intestines might telescope in on each other, but so far, we're good, and he's going to his doctor in the morning.(And about an hour ago, his caring stepbrother who lives here asked" So, did Calvin have surgery?", Cal's been home for 24 hours now.Awww) Everything's ok. Thank you Daddy. He looks like he's going to be fine, just one of those weird kid things, and after Shaun spent a few hours(more than me) with the really good Dr.'s, he started to tell me how wonderful the hospital was, and I started pounding the table and yelling about sometimes they make stupid stupid mistakes, and that sometimes they kill people. So I guess I have Donna forever in the back of my mind, and I don't trust them. Because, and I'm sorry, I see no reason why she should not be here adoring my kids. I miss her. And I mourn the ridiculous error that caused her death. And I don't trust these people to have my kid's best interest in mind. But I'm working on it. Thanks, Dad, I love you.
