I woke up to strange thoughts this morning. I was pondering photons. If a cliff is an echo for the ears, is a mirror an echo for the eyes? Photons are not particles but if two photons collide, they produce a proton, a neutron, and energy. Could the Big Bang have simply been a huge amount of photon collisions? In the beginning there was the word, and the word was BANG! Mirrors reflect visible radiation but the higher energy radiation passes right through glass. People wear sunglasses to keep out harmful rays but all the sunglasses do is exclude the non-harmful radiation and the bad stuff passes right through. The ozone layer blocks most UV light so that it doesn't reach us but flourescent bulbs are replete with it. It is a little known fact that the flourescent bulb was invented American Optician's Association. The strange things that I wonder about. Isaac, why didn't you just eat the damned apple?
But what do you do if someone comes at you armed with a banana?
Two thoughts-Al Gore really knows what he is talking about.
And, a truck just drove by spraying a giant cloud of malathion which will kill mosquitoes and inhibit the oxygen absorption of anyone who inhales it, the effects include hallucination, paralysis, and death. But no mosquitoes, so that's nice, anyway.
OOh, I recently found a book called Genesis and the Big Bang, which is supposed to link up events in the bible with current scientific theory. If I can't find it at the library, I will have to buy it soon, the kids just don't accept my explanation that God created dinosaurs to fertilize the Earth, and that "one day" actually referred to a time period of several million years. I'll let you know what I find out about "the bang".
