Alarming

What is so rare as a day like yesterday? We earn these days by enduring November and February.
I went for an extended walk, just enjoying the sunshine and the blooming riot that have engulfed this town. When I got back I opened all of the windows to officially ban Winter. I was rewarded with a pleasant sleep under a light blanket.
I haven't used the alarm clock in five years but I have a new one. At five o'clock this morning an extremely loud bird announced it's presence. What a joy to be awakened in such a manner. Making coffee in the tenuous dawn is also a pleasure. Before the Ethiopians discovered coffee how did people get up in the morning? Standing on the deck with a hot cup of coffee waiting for the Sun to rise is more than just pleasant, it is a joy.
Yesterday was chicken thighs Parmesan. Today will be pizza and beginning to make rustic bread. The bread is a two day process but is well worth it. I wonder if lilacs are edible. It is probably wiser to not try them, I am sure I would come down with phoogy woogy disease or something. Pizza with mushrooms, onions, green peppers, garlic, mozzarela, and pepperoni are a much better choice. I made the pizza sauce days ago and all that I have to do is defrost it and wait for the pizza dough to rise. Life is good.
