Why do I want to be a hermit? I just saw an advertisement for "Kung Fu Panda". Based on the success of recent movies of this type I am sure it will be a hit. Soon a generation of pre-adolescent Americans will be strutting about in Panda costumes and their fathers will be enrolling them in classes to learn how to kick the heart out through the back of their little peers. Perhaps this is only to be expected, as the Panda has become the symbol of the Democratic Party which is raising pandering to new heights. Pandas can be dangerous, which is probably why the first Panda to ever to be shot, was shot by Theodore Roosevelt. Our Presidents have always been on guard for foreign threats and they still are. Pandas are the same colors as dominos and we all know about the dreaded Domino Effect. They are the harbingers of bad things to come. I can't wait for the next big American Hero "Attackto, the Killer Teddy Bear". I know that Roosevelt discovered the original Teddy in a hollow tree stump. Bear Mothers are notoriously protective of their cubs. What happened to Teddy's Mother? Is her head mounted on a wall in the White House? Walt Whitman and Thoreau may have had the only reasonable solutions. Both were peacable men. Thoreau went to live alone in the woods and Whitman went to live alone on the prairie. Thoreau had the right idea as Whitman faced the dangers of bloodthirsty prairie dogs. After Teddy can come "Pinko, the Predatory Prairie Dog." or "Grover, the Blue Scourge". Raise up a child .......
