I once asked the Reverend Billy Bob if the ten percent was before or after taxes. Without batting an eye he quickly responded "Before taxes." He didn't have to ponder this question, it was as quick as an Amen. It must have been on his mind previously and he had thought about it. No confusion about Caesar and rendering.
I once heard a priest say "You can't take it with you but you can send it on ahead.".
The most honest comment I ever heard came from a Rabbi. He was my mentor while I was in the Army. He was a major and I was a lowly E-5 but we took the same course together when computers were first becoming accepted by the Army and we had to learn to teach them. The wisdom and humanity of a Rabbi has always impressed me. There is no baloney about them. We were talking about what happens to collections and donations. He said, humorously I think, "I take all of the money and throw it up in the air. Everything that stays up belongs to God. Everything that comes back down belongs to the temple.". Honesty, wisdom, humanity, and a sense of the failings of Mankind, a rare combination. Richard Pryor once did a sketch about a T.V. preacher. It was hilarious and somehow full of truth. If you ever get a chance to hear or see his "Back to Africa" sketch, take the time. It is worth it.
I haven't seen that Richard Pryor thing before, will look it up tonight- had to put Otis down yesterday, or at least"surrender" him, and he was so aggressive during this process that there was no question he would be put down-100 times worse than Max. Have new previously feral kitty though, and Buster is such a reincarnation of Bruno that I constantly call him Wooney by mistake-crappy week. Hope yours was good. Promised kids I would stop smoking tomorrow(and must stop drinking beer as well to achieve this) so hound me about this. Actually, I'm just stating this to be accountable. Love you.

Sweetheart, in response to your recent inquiry,
Yes sir, yes sir
Three bags full
One for my master
One for my dame
And one for the little boy that lives in the lane
